Raahi is a peer-to-peer intercity parcel-delivery marketplace in India. A verified traveller already going from one city to another carries your parcel — documents, home-cooked food or a small item — and earns for the trip they were taking anyway. It's cheaper than an urgent courier, live-tracked, and you pay on delivery.

Instead of a courier company's hub-and-spoke network, your parcel rides with a real person who is already making that journey. You post the parcel, match with a verified traveller heading your way, they collect it with a pickup code, you track it live, and payment is released when the delivery code is scanned at the door.

Yes — Raahi is built so strangers can trust each other. Both sides are identity-verified with a government ID and a selfie; you see ratings, reviews and verification badges before choosing; a pickup code and a delivery code confirm each handoff; the traveller does an open-box check of the declared contents; every trip is tracked on a live map; and you pay only after delivery is confirmed.

To start, Raahi focuses on documents, home-cooked food, and small everyday items. You can't send cash, jewellery or valuables, illegal items, weapons, flammables, live animals, or undeclared goods — you declare the contents and your traveller checks them before carrying.

Yes — sending home food (tiffin, sweets, maa-ke-haath-ka-khana) is one of the reasons Raahi exists. A traveller on a direct flight or train can get it to your family the same day, warm and intact — something most couriers won't even attempt. Pack it well and declare it.

The price depends on distance and size, and you always see it before you book. Because the parcel rides on a trip that was already happening, Raahi is priced below the fast/same-day courier tier — typically a good deal cheaper than an urgent courier for the same journey.

A courier moves your parcel through sorting hubs on its own schedule. Raahi sends it directly with one verified traveller already going your way — which is usually cheaper, can be faster for urgent items on a direct route, and works for things couriers avoid, like home-cooked food. You also deal with a real, rated person, not a black box.

You can report a problem in the app and the Raahi team reviews the trip — the pickup and delivery codes, the live tracking and the declared contents — to resolve it. Parcel insurance is being added as we partner with an insurer.

If you're already travelling between cities, post your trip, accept a parcel that's on your way, carry it, and get paid into your Raahi wallet when the delivery code is scanned. You earn from a journey you were making anyway. See our guide to earning while travelling.

During the pilot you settle the payment on delivery — once the delivery code confirms the parcel arrived. Online payments are being added. Raahi does not hold third-party funds.
